Install
Download the installer and run it. It installs for your Windows user only, with no admin rights needed.
Follow the welcome
Tell Gleam your name, connect a brain (your Claude subscription or a key) and, if you like, a voice. Every key is tested before it is kept. Then pick a first team of experts.
Talk to it
Hold Right Ctrl and ask. Ctrl + Shift wakes Gleam beside your cursor, Shift + drag circles anything to ask about it, and Alt + G shows every shortcut.
A welcome that sets everything up
New users are walked through six short steps. Gleam finds the Claude Code CLI by itself, tests each key against its service, checks your microphone, and creates a first room of original experts on the best brain you connected.

Gleam ships with no keys and no subscription. Connect the services you already pay for, then pick the provider and model for each expert.

Your computer, your keys, your data
We run no servers and collect nothing. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking in the app or on this site.
Keys sealed by Windows
API keys are encrypted with Windows DPAPI so only your Windows user can read them. They never leave your computer except to go to the service they belong to.
Straight to the services you choose
When you ask something, your words, and a screenshot when Gleam needs to look, go directly from your computer to the provider you connected. Nothing passes through us.
You approve risky actions
Screen actions that send, post, delete, buy, install or deploy wait for your OK. Gleam only acts on requests you start, and logs every action on your computer.
Listening only when you ask
The microphone opens while you hold Right Ctrl or turn on Always-on. Audio is not kept. Teach by showing counts keystrokes but never records what you type.

- A brain. The Claude Code CLI signed in to your Claude plan, or an Anthropic API key. Groq, OpenAI, NVIDIA and Fish Audio are optional.
- A microphone to talk to Gleam. You can always type instead.

Frequently asked
Is Gleam free?
Yes, Gleam itself is free to install and use. The AI and voice services it connects to are paid for by you, directly, under your own accounts: your Claude plan or API usage, and optionally Groq, OpenAI, NVIDIA and Fish Audio.
Does Gleam send my data anywhere?
Only to the services you connect, and only when you use a feature that needs them. We run no servers and receive nothing. Your rooms, notes, memory and settings stay in your Windows user folder. See the Privacy Policy.
Can Gleam do things on my computer without asking?
Gleam only acts on requests you start. Anything that sends, posts, deletes, buys, installs or deploys waits for you to press Allow, and every action is written to a log you can read. Press Esc to stop Gleam at any time.
Which brain should I use?
If you have a Claude subscription, Claude Code on your plan is the simplest. An Anthropic API key unlocks Claude Fable 5.1 for the sharpest screen work. Add a Groq key for the fastest hearing and replies.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
Not yet. Gleam controls the desktop through Windows, so it runs on Windows 10 and 11 for now.
Why does Windows show a SmartScreen warning?
Gleam is new and not yet code-signed, so Windows has not seen it before. Check the SHA256 above matches, then choose More info and Run anyway. Signing is next on the list.
Is Gleam open source?
No. Gleam is proprietary software by Brian Mwai. You are free to install and run it; the source code, name, mascot and logo are not licensed for reuse. See the Terms of Use.
How do I uninstall it?
Open Windows Settings, then Apps, find Gleam and choose Uninstall. To remove your rooms, keys and settings too, delete the Gleam folder in %APPDATA%.
